Shining Star-05-Gallery 50, Inc, Bridgeton, NJ

With her own hair channeled into an ocean wave, illuminated with a rainbow and topped with a globe Healing Rainbow, artist Terry Niedzialek and her assistant, Dorisa Minor, create a hair sculpture—Shining Star--on model Ariane Odhner. The performance LIVE EARTH HAIR at Gallery 50, Inc. was part of Bridgeton, NJ’s First Friday Celebration. Using clay, paint, and earth objects, Niedzialek playfully sculpted her model's hair into mountains, adding small live trees, flowers and snow to celebrate the magical peace of the holiday season. From the highest mountaintop she dangles a crystal star to affirm hope for humanity and the planet. Her hair sculptures are an extension of the human spirit, parading identity and empowering. LIVE EARTH HAIR was sponsored by Cumberland County Improvement.
